Wu-Tang Wednesday – Raekwon’s Ice Cream and the Miami Dolphins

Seeing that it’s Wu-Tang Wednesday, the song of the day selection is Ice Cream by Raekwon.

Ice Cream was originally released in 1995 on Raekwon’s classic album Only Built for Cuban Linx which is widely regarded as one of the greatest albums in the history of hip-hop.

The song was produced by RZA and features Method Man on the hook with verses from Ghostface Killah and Cappadonna.

Although the song is consider a worldwide hit, it only peaked at No.37 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

On a side note, the Miami Dolphins now have two players on their roster with the name Raekwon. You have to think Mom and Dad were fans of the Wu-Tang Clan.

Raekwon Davis was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the second-round of this years NFL draft after a standout career at Alabama. Davis was on the 2017 college football national championship squad with Bama and was a three-time All-SEC selection.

Raekown McMillan has been with Miami for three years after also being drafted in the second-round out of Ohio State. He too won a college football national championship in 2014 with the Buckeyes and has been a key figure for the Dolphins over the past few years.
