Canadian reggae star Trinity Chris latest single Work It featuring Serani is being played on radio across Canada and Jamaica.
It’s never too late to begin again.
Toronto reggae artist Trinity Chris is living proof that success comes in waves in the music business.
Trinity burst onto the scene with his 2005 release “The Anthem” which was being played on MuchMusic (which at the time was rare for a dancehall artist) and he followed that up with a Juno Award nomination in 2007 for his track with Blessed called “In the Streets.”
His latest single “Work It” featuring Serani is being played at various radio stations across Canada and Jamaica.
Trinity explained how the song came together with the Jamaican reggae star.
He said, “My producers DJ Delirious and Alex K have a rapport with Serani and they thought it would be a good collaboration and a good mesh so they put together the beat and the song was a hit right from the jump.”
Trinity also has a song with Vybz Kartel called “The Winner” that was recorded over a decade ago but was recently placed on the Tropical Cruises Reggae compilation album that cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard Reggae charts in July and has continued to chart all summer.
Trinity has also maintained a consistent touring schedule across Canada over the past decade having been apart of major concert tours and festivals with the likes of Method Man and Redman, Ghostface Killah, Beenie Man, Royce Da 5’9, Jadakiss and many more.
He has also shown his versatility as an artist in recent years by being featured on some of the biggest electronic music labels from across the globe including various dubstep, drum and bass and techno tracks highlighted by a release called “Rude Selection” on UK mega-label Ram Records.
Don’t expect Trinity Chris to slow down anytime soon with plenty more music scheduled for release before the end of 2020.
Trinity said, “We have Tik Tok coming out in September or October which is my next single and it’s gonna be a hot one.” He also said to expect an EP release before the end of the year that will feature a song with Juno award winner JRDN called “Pistol Blow” and more.
2020 continues to be a renaissance year for Trinity Chris which he hopes to translate into a nomination for Reggae Recording of the Year at the 2021 Juno Awards.
