Stephen F. Austin University has extended the contract of head coach Kyle Keller until 2025-26.
Kyle Keller has been the head coach of the Lumberjacks program since 2016 when he took over for Brad Underwood who departed to take the head coaching job at Oklahoma State.
During his four years in charge at Stephen F. Austin, Keller has led the Jacks to a record of 88-41. The Jacks had an outstanding season in 2019-20 with a record of 28-3 and winning the Southland Conference regular season title.
Although their impressive campaign was cut short with the cancellation of the conference tournament and the NCAA tournament they did manage to have their one shining moment on Nov 26, 2019 when they upset the No.1 ranked Duke Blue Devils 85-83 on a last second buzzer beater by Nathan Bain.
Keller will now remain in charge of the Jacks until 2025-26 and they are expected to be the favourites in the Southland Conference once again heading into the 2020-21 season.
