Class of 2022 Orangeville Prep forward Rory Stewart is set to receive a flood of NCAA offers once the Grind Session starts in November.
Rory Stewart was originally born in London, England but moved to Canada about seven years ago and took up the game of basketball.
Fast forward to November of 2021 and Stewart has developed into one of the best pure shooting big man in all of Canada.
Stewart plays for the famed Orangeville Prep program that has produced several NBA players in recent years including Jamal Murray (Denver) along with dozens of current NCAA stars.
Stewart is perhaps the best pure shooting big man ever to wear an Orangeville Prep jersey.
After sitting out the past two weeks with a sprained thumb, Stewart helped lead Orangeville Prep to a close win over equally as impressive Crestwood Prep with 22 points which included six 3-pointers on October 31.
Stewart is smooth and extremely athletic for a man of his size. He is not a guy who can create highlight reel plays but rather he relies on his shooting to torch his opponents night after night. He also shoots free-throws at a 90 (plus) percent clip.
Orangeville Prep just returned to game action after 19 months off due to Covid restrictions across Canada so Stewart’s NCAA interest is minimal at the moment.
However, once NCAA coaches see him in person in the upcoming Grind Session expect Stewart to return to Canada at Christmas with a stack full of D1 offers. He has the ability to develop into an All-Conference talent with pro potential after college.
