Royal Crown’s Michael Evbagharu is a rising star in Canadian basketball.
One word to describe Michael Evbagharu’s style of play; smooth.
Royal Crown Academy is located in Scarborough, ON (east end of Toronto) and is starting to produce some of the best talent coming out of the fertile recruiting grounds of Canada.
Evbagharu is a 6-foot-3 point guard in the Class of 2023 who is starting to receive attention from a number of universities across the NCAA and USports. Evbagharu was coy on providing info on exactly which schools have expressed interest in him but coaches from Royal Crown have confirmed that several schools south of the border have been in touch.
He is one of those players who may not “wow” you the moment you walk into the gym but when you check the stat sheet at the end of many games, you’ll see Evbagharu with 24 points, six assists and six rebounds. He just glides around the court so smoothly that he makes the game look easy.
Aside from playing at Royal Crown, Evbagharu also plays for Toronto NuStep.
Evbagharu has helped his Royal Crown squad to a 12-1 record in the OSBA, sitting in first place with just two weeks left in the regular season.
