Recruiting Watch: 6-foot-11 Arafan Diane from Montreal Class of 2026

111

The 6-foot-11 15 year-old from Dynastie Montreal has massive potential.

I have to imagine that Arafan Diane is one of those kids that opposing coaches and parents have been asking to check his birth certificate after games because they can’t believe he’s the same age as their kids.

Diane is a 6-foot-11 high school freshman in the Class of 2026 that plays for Dynastie in Montreal, QC.

Diane was one of the standout players at The Grind Session’s Maple Hoops Showcase November 11-12 at The Athlete Institute in Mono, ON.

Diane just turned age 15 on November 19, 2022 but looked more than comfortable competing against four and five-star players several years his senior in The Grind Session games.

For a young man of his size he is exceptionally agile with quick feet and great athleticism.

In spite of his 6-foot-11 frame, Diane would likely look just as comfortable playing soccer or football; he just has that athleticism that would translate to just about any sport.

Moving forward, Diane will be a prospect to gather attention from the blue bloods of college basketball but he has his sights set much further than college basketball and says the NBA is his end goal in the future.

Diane is nowhere near finished growing and so its possible he could exceed 7-feet and may have a frame similar to a young Shaquille O’Neal by the time he is finished high school; in four years (just think about that).

Look for Diane to be a fixture in Canada basketball for many years to come.

The sky is the limit for Arafan Diane.
